My Story
Why Etoile?
Traveling has long been a passion of mine and I fell back in love with perfume in France. I’m also affectionately referred to as “Star” by friends (a long story involving my lack of a middle name). With that, I knew etoile, French for star, would take front and center.
Why the Orange Blossom?
Deep. Sweet. Intoxicating. I’m immediately filled with memories of my Mom and her signature scent, Boucheron. The fragrance of orange blossom sparked my passion for perfumery and the connection our sense of smell has to our memories and emotions.
My Scent Story
-
Orange Blossom (Neroli)
One of the most fragrant flowers, all parts of this plant are utilized in various distillation methods to provide perfumers with different aromas.
-
Ambroxan
A sweet, ambery note that adds sparkle to a perfume. If you want your perfume to have that come-hither sexy hint, this is what you’re looking for.
-
Immortelle
I discovered immortelle while Studying with the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in Provence, France. Also known as “Everlasting Flower” due to its colorful longevity when dried, immortelle adds a flowery, honey-like sweetness to a perfume.
-
Lavender
Ok, I don’t love lavender. HOWEVER, learning how to use lavender alongside other fragrance notes opened the door to the endless possibilities within perfumery.
